Plain-English answers so you can choose the right AI safely
Search the common worries, then describe what you want to do. We'll explain whether AI is suitable, what kind of tool fits, what to avoid, and when a human should stay in the loop.
Is it OK to use AI for…?
Describe what you're thinking of doing, or tap an example. We'll tell you whether it's a good fit for AI, which tools suit it, and where a human should check first.
Common questions
Is it safe to put my customer data into ChatGPT?
Not by default. The free ChatGPT plan can use your inputs to train its models. For customer data, use a Business/Enterprise plan (or Team) where inputs are not used for training, set a data-sharing policy, and never paste sensitive identifiers you don't need to. We set this up properly in our AI Foundations package.
Will AI replace my bookkeeper or me?
No — it's a tool, not a replacement. AI removes the repetitive friction (drafting, summarising, sorting) so you and your team do higher-value work. Businesses that use AI well grow faster and keep their people; those that ignore it fall behind.
Is it legal to use AI to generate customer reviews?
No — writing fake reviews (AI or human) is illegal in the UK under consumer protection law and Google will penalise your listing. What's legal and effective is using AI to ask real customers for reviews and draft genuine replies. Our Review & Reputation Automation does exactly that.
Do I need an AI policy for my staff?
Yes. If anyone on your team uses AI for work, a short acceptable-use policy protects you and them — it sets what's okay to put into AI, what needs a human check, and what's off-limits. We provide ready-to-customise templates in our policy library.
Is AI-generated content bad for SEO?
Not if it's genuinely useful and edited. Search engines reward helpful, original content. Thin, unedited AI copy is penalised. Our Social Content Engine drafts on-brand posts you approve before they go live.
What's the cheapest way to start with AI?
Start free: a ChatGPT account, one good prompt, and one boring task you do every week. Our Free plan includes a readiness check and 3 sample prompts. When you're ready, Lite (£49/mo) gives you the full library and an action plan.
How do I know AI won't give my customers wrong info?
You keep a human in the loop. AI drafts, you approve. For customer-facing output, never let AI send anything without a quick check. We build 'approve before send' into every automation we set up.
Is my business too small for AI?
No business is too small. A one-person plumber saves the most hours from AI, because you do everything yourself. The smaller you are, the bigger the relative payoff.
